Hello everyone!

Just recently put a deposit on a 2jz-ge N/A '94 model, black, mint. Picking her up on Saturday, pending roadworthy right now; expect some photos, at least half decent ones from a professional photographer, haha.

I replaced my 4cyl 92 Celica with it. One helluva upgrade! Only problem I have with it (and everyone else) is I couldn't find an N/A in factory manual. I also would have LOVED acres of cowhide inside it in the form of black leather seats but hey, one day...

I really don't think there's many Soarer's roaming this area; I know of two. A red one, 92 v8, and a dark green TT which was my ex's, and the first time I ever saw/heard of/drove one. That was three years ago and I fell head over heels in love with that car!

Just extending my hand in networking, and if you see that puppy around, don't be afraid to come say hi to the chick in it!

Hello and welcome, I hope your as happy with your new purchase as I am (new owner as well.) Judging by the pic, looks really clean. What did you pick it up for if you don't mind me asking?

Hi Nathan,

All in all it ended up being under 5k factoring in R.W and rego. I still need to pick up an unrego'd vehicle permit to go get her on Saturday. I haven't gone and looked yet but from what he's said, it's very mint, with only tasteful modifications. Which is what I was after. I got enough police attention with green p's in lowered 5th gen Celica!

Are you from the area? Good to see more in the state!

That's a good price. The tasteful mod theory is what guided me to my purchase. I am in Melbourne, Caulfield. You should have plenty of Soarer mates soon enough being in NSW. And by the looks you will have an easier time with the police too, bonus!

John, I'm pretty sure I'm leaving stockies on it until I can find a nice set of minimal chromes. I've seen a photo of a set i'd love but I need someone to identify them for me!

Nathan, that's the beauty of living on the Border, I can go both ways, haha. Good to see someone else looking for tasteful and classy in these cars!

I am in wagga. If you find yourself needing parts, I know a bloke in Canberra with a lot of soarer stuff

Also it doesn't hurt to join the Queensland soarer club on facebook, good group of people with a lot of knowledge and spares .

Robbie, wouldn't happen to be the black TT I've seen in Wagga?

Will do, thanks for the suggestion!

Neither. I haven't seen that red one in Albury around for a while, and I know the green TT has been pulled off the road since 2011. Albury is all VL's and XR6's... come on guys, where's the class at?!

Goodluck on the conversions! Everyone seems to prefer them with a single turbo.

I got sick of working on the twins, they aren't much fun lol.

There isn't a big scene in wagga like there was maybe 4 or 5 years ago. Bit of a shame really, I think the cops ruined it .
There is a fair few cars being built here though, a few old skylines with big power , and yeah vls lol

I don't even get to see any reasonable r38's or anything around here, it's all bullshit. There's one real tidy purple Supra around, and a 300zx '89 targatop, and one slightly rough sounding black turbo'd skyline but that's all for interesting.

I work at a big pub here and get to see some decent rigs coming past, but never to be seen again, so I'm assuming they don't live here.

Oh no, no John, I meant I got him to take these off and put the stockies on.. got my eye on another set of rims. Sorry about that!

Clarke - haven't seen a gunmetal grey around Wagga? Probably haven't been around Wagga for a while now long enough to see her! I'd definitely be interested if people want to have a mini meet/cruise in this area, Wagga's a blitz of a drive from here.

Allan, god that's good to know, everything VIC is easier regarding cars!

The grey is conspicuous by it 's lack of bling not even a chrome wheel nut on it I keep the stealth mode switch turned on. It even rides on a set of Ford Tickford wheels just to confuse the unwary.

It was originally from Wodonga I bought it unregistered. NSW RTA gave me a real challenge but I wore 'em down in the end. The guys on the RTA counter here think they know everything. I had to know all the regulations on imports and challenge them whenever they were wrong.

They do NOT like it when you go toe to toe with them !!!

That'd be right. There's one pearl '94 sitting in seatons in Wodonga with a smashed rear end, he wants 3.5k for it -- really?!

couldn't imagine trying to get it rw'd, even though he adamantly told the 'useless girl' (me) that it would pass.

even with a chunk missing from the rear tail light?!

There are no factory manual JZZ31's - or UZZ3x's either - only the JZZ30 (turbo) came with a manual option.

Welcome. If you manage to find a wrecked manual NA Supra, the W58 gearbox, clutch pedals/master cylinder etc will work on the Soarer
