Hello everyone! Its been a while since I did any updates so here goes:

Here is the Old Soarer. My first car, 1991 UZZ31. Bought it stock as a rock with 98,000kms. Put on around 30000kms in 3 years. Drove beautifully never missed a beat (apart from the usual cracked radiator top tank). I sold the car in January 2012.

In April 2012 I bought this:

1997 JZZ30 factory Royal Sapphire Pearl paint, probably the only of its kind in WA and possibly 1 of a handful in Australia.
The 1JZ vvti had some oiling issues and developed rod knock soon after I purchased it. The car sat around for a few months while I sorted out trying to get it fixed.
At the end I settled for a 2JZGTE + R154 setup. I havent driven the car very much as I am away for work a lot but the little that I have driven it, its amazing!

Lastly my daily (if you can call it that) for the last few months has been this beauty:

Not quite as quick as the Soarer in a straight line, but it does make you smile quite a lot.

Bout time this thread was updated. Good work.

Should really do the same myself. Nice work on the 2J. Must go really well - are the twins still sequential or you running ttc?

Its running in full sequential (via JZA80 MT ecu).

That would go like hell with the 2JZ/R154... Very few cars would be better than what you have there as an overall package!

Did you find out what caused the oiling issues for the original 1JZ VVTi?

Love the color of the royal sapphire one. If I ever repaint with some color other than what mine had from the factory, that one would probably be it!
