| just wanted to say hi to all you fellow soarer petrol heads. Im old real old .57 this year.I could be grandfather to some oof you guys ,and maybe I have slept with your mum or grandma.only joking.I just bought a 1991 v8 gt.I spent 2 years looking for .I wanted a gt because I wanted the lightest one.I think mine is about two people lighter than a z32 active.this will car number 56 for me.I also have a hilux and a crown.I need a bullet proof car and when they stoped making valiants.Toyota was the way to go.I want to jenny craig my car a bit more.hoping to get down to 1400 kgs.less weight equals more go go.Also want to change the gear ratio.250 klms per hour and still not be at redline is way to tall for me.once again more go go.Cant wait to see the look the look on the copers face when I first get pulled up and he sees the old fart.Oh and if you the old bloke wont run you think again.Keep on souring.}} Growl |

| G'day Noel, from a fellow "old fart" (59 today). I have a 1997 3.0 G-Pack VVTi. Unlike you, I wanted the latest/youngest Soarer I could get for a reasonable price. It was very reasonable, in fact, but poor condition and high kms. The condition bit largely fixed. Bought it direct from Japan, shipped to Norfolk Island and complied in WA as a Personal Import, 7 years ago, or thereabouts. As we don't do all that many kms, the high mileage is not an issue. Has about 180k up now. Technically the wife's car but she prefers the seat height of an SUV. Opposite problem for me, being tall and it's a fair way down to Soarer's seat with dicky knees. Still, once in, it's nicer to drive than the newish SUV Hope you enjoy your Soarer and this forum, which is an unequalled source of info on your chosen car.

I assume you mean "Soaring", although my wife would say I'm souring with advanced age |

| so I like my soarer so much just bought another one.I will keep one stock and play with the other one.these engines seem to be very solid, so now Im thinking.light weight, gear ratio, and nitrous oxide.hidden.that should sort out most street cars.Oh yeah the new car has only 88 k on the clock. you may have seen it on ebay. Also just bought an exhaust system.and some tt mags.16 inch mags is where high performance tyres start. and cheap to buy.I polished the lips on the mags today and painted the centre spokes black.Ihad a metal polishing business in a past life.Im in Gippsland if any one needs a shiney up. or happy to tell you how to polish. I can relate to the bike list although only ever had one Harley (the Aermacchi 350 flat single) in the AMF days. Piece of junk, actually. Twenty all up and with a bit of brain cell juggling might remember them all |

| At last, a bunch of old farts still playing with cars. I should show this to my missus, who thinks I should grow up.(am 60 this year) Noel, I think I could beat you in the amount of cars I have had. Around 60 I think, and quite a few motorbikes as well. Luckily for me, my daughter has kept up the like father, like daughter syndrome in our house. She is a petrol head as well. She has 2 HSV Clubsports, and 1 Soarer until early this year(sold, not crashed) Maybe we need to have an "old farts" get together. |

| Hi everyone, my name is Frank from Pakenham and yet another (64yr old) newbie. My first soarer 1992 Lexus SC400 limited V8, and I don't know why I didn't buy one earlier. Few things not working such as screen on TV/climate/radio but I will get around and get repaired soon. I am glad that I am not so much in a minority anymore and quite a few close around my area. Cheers |

| Being "old" we need something else to play with. When I wake up in the morning without a hard-on I have nothing to play with all day. Now I have a Soarer to play with. |
