Hi Guys,

I currently have a sc400 and a UZZ31 Soarer which I bought off ebay by mistake. Will sell off the 31 after I clean it up a bit. The sc400 is quite different in how it drives and steers. Had to look up on the web how to change the high level brake light globe. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr. The speedo died in the 31 after I flashed someone (being nice) on the ring road. Still learning about these cars. Regards M

You may want to research a little more mate... SC400 was NEVER sold in Australia they are just re-badged soarer's.

so your SC400 is a Soarer, be it UZZ30, UZZ31 or UZZ32.

If it does not have a import approval plate under bonnet it's probably just a shifty import.

Good luck and see you on the ring road!

It was very simple. I put in a bid on a soarer because it was stupidly low and won the car. Wife not happy.

That was two soarers ago. Sold my UZZ30 to my dad and bought another UZZ31. No two of these cars seem the same.

Hello Gents. An annoying issue. The door light switch wherever that is on a UZZ31 on my drivers door doesnt work. The passenger side is fine as the globes on both sides.

Suggestions please?

That'll nearly definitely be a broken cable in the door loom. Common problem on soarer's, remove door trim and interior to find the break. They fatigue over time and snap.

Mark. Check the Jap compliance plate on both cars & post them up. Interested to see. They will be UZZ30,31. That may explain the handling differences.
