Hi all, names Smithy, from Tasmania
Went for a drive in a zz30, loved it, found one 3 days later and bought it
Didnt get to test drive it because the previous owner had gutter kissed it
Repairs done since owning it: Driver door plastic clip Passenger window actuator Fuel pump ECU Rear ps running gear(from the gutter smack)
Was just starting to enjoy the ride, and she blew a water pump
All fixed, new belt tensioner etc, but hmm, it's just not right
from day 1 the car had a slight miss, replaced plugs etc, but never truly went away
after water pump change it ran great for 5 days, then the miss got worse
Car is currently in driveway waiting for coil packs, hopefully this will fix it
Any advice is welcomed, symptoms are:
Miss right through the rev range running Really rich (last trip she had was 5km and 4L of fuel all 6 plugs when removed were black from fuel
checked so far: Compression - all good ecu - no bad caps vac leaks - none apparent new plugs - black within a day map sensor - tested with a 2nd one tps - does nothing when unplugged iacv - does nothing when unplugged fpr - working well
checked the codes, nothing codes are working (came up when i disconnected map)
only things left i can think of are coil packs and injectors, hopefully somebody else here can help out 1 injector had a broken clip from the day i bought it and the car would miss sometimes until i disconnected and reconnected it, replaced tthe clip now.
Help me oh guru's of the soarer world
oops: mods are easy, upgraded to a single garrett.

Leads commonly cause misfire but don't really cause excessive fuel consumption. My leads were cactus and I got a bad misfire on boost but fuel economy didn't change much.
