Ive kept records of all emails and correspondence from this fellow as he has never addressed me as an equal member of society. He has also threatened me with legal action numerous times. Like ive said. He is quite unstable as a person. Best not to deal with him or his other illegal businesses. Soarer restorers. Soarer doctor. Soarer angel. He advertises on gumtree and ebay as well. Just keep a heads up people.

I also have read about this guys history in regards to sale of parts popping up in discussion all over Soarer related Facebook pages sometime last year.
Dave, Ali and other Perth members on here, take note... has also been advertising his parts on Gumtree Perth for the past few months it seems.

The ad has a review its so funny. Obviously its the guy who put the ad. Talks about how expensive it is to own a soarer. Lol. I've hardly had to spend anything on mine. Just general servicing, a few upgrades (were optional) now is due for a major service with timing belt. Done over 60,000 km trouble free. I get the whole sale pitch, soarers are old and crap (I won't pay you much for it) get rid of it before it costs you too much (sell it to me for next to nothing) and I am the hero who can help you maintain your expensive car (parts cheaper then Toyota but don't try low ball me just because I got the car doesn't mean I want to sell parts at reasonable price. Here to make a quick buck.
An honest business using these forums should be sharing a percentage of the profits with the forum (sponsor).
Soarers are popular because whole cars are cheap and parts can be flogged off at high prices. People need parts at some stage and most soarer are older then 20 years. Still for their age very reliable and strong.

He has now resorted to defaming soarer central publicly on his soarer restorers website. Soarer central is actually a registered entity isnt it? Unlike soarer restorers. So legal action may be taken against him.
He also mentions that harsh words were exchanged... pretty clear who used harsh words against who here.... told you guys. He has problems.
Its clear he wrote that review on his gumtree ad. Wasnt even imaginative enough to come up with a username to spin the lie with.... spinxx hahaha what a joke. But seriously.. he's serious. Lol

He who should not be named? Josh Baldwin of "Baldwin Imports"? Your mate? The established members already know who you are and your so called ex partner Josh Baldwin of Baldwin Imports.
Unfortunately, it's people like him that bastardised the Soarer community. That little runt makes comments on Facebook like a complete t*at on people's status' And then when I did onto the same to him, he blocked me (good riddance).
Unfortunately, your reputation was tarnished the day you and he became "partners". Too bad mate I'm afraid and the established members won't pay $200 for a cracked door trim hah

What I don't understand is the whole Soarers are too expensive to maintain, Soarers aren't worth nothing even in good condition, struggling australian thinks he can own a Soarer thing, but yet posts a Picture of his V8 saying about how good it is and that it's the best one out. My Soarer was cheap to run and very reliable. I get your point on people low balling on parts, but I guess they can go elsewhere so there is no need for you to get angry on this, you get what you pay for.
Kevin maybe if you can tell us everything about how you and Walter got onto a bad start with all the facts instead of random snippets, and actually release the name of the person who apparently was being dodgy at your business that way people who have no Idea can avoid him, that way maybe people who don't know the full facts can see if Walters words against you are unreasonable.
It's pretty cool how you run a Soarer parts business it's pretty hard to find parts for them outside of Japan but in terms of calling people gay and talking about how you deal with people in Africa is uncalled for if that's what really happened.
In terms of new members selling parts on the forums, this can't be allowed because we have had too many losers come on here with the Agenda of flogging their parts off and ripping people off.
From what it seems only Walter has a problem but other people have said they have heard bad things about you or your operations before.
Nothing wrong about defending your business thats your right but so long as you do it in a way where conflicts can be resolved and where all the facts good and bad are stated.
I'm not taking any sides yet because I have never dealt with you personally or heard anything but it seems that a few people have had a bad taste left in their mouth so far.

Thought ide drop this here for the record
Also now that names have been dropped, thought i would mention I've bought numerous parts from Baldwin Imports in the past few months on more than one occasion and never had any problems. Always looked after me with prices too. In fact he has sent me lots of free parts for re-trimming which i have managed to salvage and sell on to people as far away as Russia. Parts that otherwise would have been thrown out as they where old and really had no resale value. This in turn has help fund my own soarer restoration project. This to me is what community is about, and although everyone's experiences are different, i think its easy to spot who's here to help and who's here to line their pockets.
I also have looked at Soarer Restorers at some point for various things too but was put off by prices and over priced freight charges. I can only speak from my own experiences but thought it worthy to share them.

good on you walter hahaha . with business names like soarer restores OR what ever you have to register it that will give you an ABN .An ABN doesnt not mean you are registered for GST .just some one above brought that up some where. It all boils down to attitude if you have a good one then reasonably smooth sailing,On the other hand its going to be a rough trot pushing a white elephant up hill.you just know some thing is going to wind up in your face.

This kevin guy keeps harassing me via email. Threatening me with legal action if I dont retract my comments. Apparently I have defamed his business. He says he is not here to sell parts. Yet most of his posts are in the for sale section. He refuses to give me an abn and one does not exist for his 'business' so there isnt one to defame. He says he has over 20 'charges' against me and still resorts to calling me names, he has even begun to show a little bit of racism towards myself. Also he says that my true character is now starting to show on these forums and 'you people' are starting to see how im the bad guy in all of this....
I for one am dumb struck..... is this guy able to read properly? Is he delusional and living in some fantasy land? I seriously dont know. I have asked him repeatedly to stop contacting me via email, but still he keeps issuing me with 'final warnings to retract my comments before legal action' to which I say go ahead.

What a mess All's been said that's already needed to be said.
I've read some of the shenanigans that's gone on between Josh Baldwin and Flecktarn aka Kevin Gaskell via Facebook. In general, I don't like people who arrive just to plug the stuff they have to sell.
If the $700 for an uncapped ECU is true, that's disgusting. Anyone trying to get this kind of money for an ECU without the caps replaced is clearly full of themselves. Hell, even half this price is still too much to pay.
It's insulting to see adds with people trying to rip off others in our community with exorbitant prices for a car they've probably picked up for 1k just to part out.
As has already been said, if a price for a part for sale is reasonable (And I'd say most long lasting members know what a part is/isn't worth) and the seller is a good honest person, it will sell.
The problem is that the price for these cars is now so low, people often end up buying a cheaper one, for the price of a Camry, only to find it needs repairs, and lots of them. That's when they turn to these opportunistic sellers thinking they're getting a good deal on these parts.
As Jack Lloyd said; When owning a Soarer, you can only have two. POWERFUL RELIABLE CHEAP

The price is not there to be argued with it's there to be paid, if prices he is charging are too expensive and there is alternative wreckers or parts suppliers that have the required parts people will go there.
If indeed somebody is running a business to make profit rather than flogging off un-wanted parts from a chicken pen then for sure the prices will be higher, I have no problem with people making good profit so long as customer service is good and parts are spot on as described and everybody is dealt with fairly
Unless you have a totally ruined Soarer your not going to be buying parts everyday for it
I'm happy to pay premium price but only for premium products.

Very entertaining, yet disturbing thread. Makes me glad I buy new parts whenever I can. At the very least Kevin needs to grow up - a 45 year old "business owner" should know how to deal with irate customers without resorting to bigoted slurs and threats on the very first note of discontent - how about a "I'm very sorry you feel that way about our business, could you please explain how we could improve things for you?" You catch more flies with honey.
Remands me of a tyre place I went into once - looking to drop about $1200 on some new tyres - I'm no prude, but this guy was swearing a blue streak and shouting abuse at his employees right in front of customers, I walked right out of there again and to his competition next door - that's no way to run a business.
Darren Bauer TryHard Victoria Soarer TT & Aristo TT
For the sake of a couple of unsatisfied customers, it won't hurt the bank too much to provide them the part they asked for or perhaps a refund, but some losers just have so much self pride or just want to extract every single cent out of people.
Ever business will have disagreements, sometimes over the smallest things that turn into big arguments if not dealt right .... I just don't see what's so hard about dealing with it in a productice way rather than carrying on and being rude and swearing to customers, I hear about this happening all the time.
Like I said I've never dealt with this person/business so cant say anything but if indeed what has happened is true, then let's not support unethical businesses.

Yep. He has changed it to international. Also on ebay as brintech_customs. I have his email. Home address and mobile number. Thanks interwebz. Lols
Sure about that? I know the guy who runs BrinTech (it's a full performance workshop, not a Soarer wreckers) and he's not Kevin...
He does a heap of 1J and 1UZ conversions though which is probably why he has Soarer spares lying around (buys parts car for engine, sells rest), if you look at the eBay store there is stuff there for Holdens, BMWs, the works
Unless there is some kind of partnership going on.

Just word of mouth. I was told they are or were in a partnership. I could be wrong. Daniel marshall. Care to shed some light on this? Dont want brintech_customs to be categorized along with kevins BS.
