Hello all, been a while since ive posted but rest assured I have been lurking...
After a couple of setbacks and a new shell, Ive finally got my a into g. Still a few more things Id like to fine tune but overall pretty happy with its progress.
Ive also added another beast to the equation. A very different refined beast but nevertheless just as much fun.
Couple of things still bugging me since the transplant...car intermittently splatters and stalls. Occurs intermittently when feathering the throttle and during really slow/heavy traffic, inclines, coming to a corner where turning is required (stalled exiting a roundabout!!)On hway driving rpm is sitting at 2300rpm at about 80-90kms...

hey wondered where you got to. What happened, your car involved in a smash? So bought another one and transplanted the 2jz and to4z etc? what year is the E55 AMG? How many kW are they rated at? Hope you get those issue sorted out with the soarer.
As fun as the 2jz is, day to day driving with the E55 is a much more doable task...especailly when its not stalling out on you. Driving a supercharger, the power is linear and it just wants to keep going. However, rest assured, the 2jz still remains king for now ;) My goal for the soarer is to get it down to a daily driven mid 11sec ca. Im not too far away with the last run done in the low 12s.

No, i didn't improve on my 12.38 sec drag time. I've sold my soarer(to a fellow soarer enthusiast), I swapped it for a base model(about 70kg lighter). The new car is currently being tuned, with a Power FC, MV internals in the trans, TRD 2 way diff. Stock turbos, with the rear one rotated to face forwards, with a 3" intake to each turbo, a 3" down pipe from each turbo, plus a 3.5" exhaust, a 4" thick intercooler, with very short intercooler piping. It has a (narrower than factory soarer)hilux radiator, which allows the piping to go either side of it. My first goal(come summer) will be to beat my own time. It is VERY responsive.
