Hi everyone. Proud new owner of a 91 TT. Bought it a couple of weeks ago and I love it. Started looking at Lexuses in general, and found myself drawn to Soarers; I can see why you all like them so much. New to Soarer Central, but have delved into many threads, and it's fantastic to have such a wealth of wisdom and input. Look forward to chatting to some of you, and hopefully to participate in events. Dave

A bit about the car. Overall, reasonable condition, but with a few minor scrathes etc here and there on the paintwork. Black interior is excellent in some areas but worn and cracked in others. Hope to put wood trim in one day. Has 3" pipe cat back with a droney muffler coming off soon. FMIC, cold air intake. Otherwise, stock. Going in for piggyback and dyno hopefully this week.

Nice work. Looks clean. 1 small tip to help make it look even sweeter is polish the hell out of those headlights. It will look even better.

Thanks guys. Scott, only mech issue is under heavy boost, I get what feels like misfire. Came across that in a post somewhere, but not sure what might cause it. Going in for dyno soon, so hopefully that will shed some light. Nathan, I have new black lights on order (love em or hate em I guess!). Also bought the clear GS side markers from US, but naively committed before getting postage quote. They tried to sting me for US$60 to send! Then found them at $18 postage.

Yeah gap down to 0.7. You may even have a crack in one of your coils. Pretty easy to pull them out and check if you gap down and don't fix it. I saw someone recently put the black lights on their dark car and didn't like it. I hope you are happy when you get them. Where are you getting the headlights from?

The lights are the one thing that I don't particularly like the look of, clean or otherwise, so I thought I'd give them a go. Ordered from Mars.

Solved misfiring problem with new plugs, thanks guys. Dyno result after hi flo cat installed but no ecu came in at 190kw and 475nm, so pretty happy with that.

I ended up getting the BKR7Es, running 13.5 boost. Was peaking a fair bit higher, which gave it a nice kick, but Nathan at MHC(who did all the work) reset it for safety. I see the homemade BFIs appear a bit on this forum. Do you guys think it's worth replacing pod filter with one of those?

| Definitely if you think you are going to get harassed by the police. Otherwise, Kurt Atzmuller makes dual pipe intakes. separate pipe and filter for each turbo. Looks mad too. He makes great dump pipes too. Fit nice and good torque and hp increase. Check him out on Facebook for pictures. https://www.facebook.com/kurt.atzmuller?fref=ts. I had a set of the intakes and a 4inch dump from him. Loved them. Gone single now.

| Thought I'd share pics of my new rims and lights. Not to everyone's taste, I realise, but I'm happy with them. And yes, I need to stay clear of those little concrete things in carparks....

At last an owner with some sense. Good tyre & wheel combo! Sick of seeing stretch combos that use tyres 2 sizes too narrow for their rims. Fu--wits, sh1t handling, wear & more likely to roll off rims when high speed cornering.

Don't forget you need to dial in heaps of negative camber to get those phat wheels to fit under the guards. Worst trend ever. $2000 rims on el cheapo tyres because the inside of the tyre only lasts 5,000kms. Let's not mention it screams to the police 'pull me over and give me a defect'. Love the fact that I've got complete sleepers. Never get pulled over and I've got nice wheels, lowered and performance mods. My cars are pretty loud but not over the top. Never get pulled over.

Dave, RHD (right hand drive) headlights have the beam higher to the left then lower to the right so you can see along the footpath but not blind oncoming traffic. US ones are the opposite and not approved for Australia. \____ RHD beam ____/ LHD beam

Yeah Scott. Things have changed with a section of the car scene. We always developed handling, looks & performance as a complete package. Striving to get the best out of a average, mass produced product. Although I could never get my LH SLR Torana to handle anything close to acceptable.
