thanks guys! I am looking at 1991 V8 Limiteds. I believe they would be uzz30 or 31.
I will advise once I get an ok for the car to be checked!
There is one at a dealer in Melb that I am keen on as well, it has no rego so I believe it will need a RWC. Any idea what it cost there? This one was traded in to Lexus Melb and has about 95k on the clock.

I think that these cars are exactly like any other in that in most cases "you get what you pay for". There's no guarantee that someone asking $15K plus for one is going to be selling a pristine example, but I think it'd be safe to say that the bulk of those that are going for peanuts are going to be pretty rough or have serious problems. Having said that, occasionally you'll find a nice one going cheap simply because the seller just has to get rid of it fast.

Hi Rob
Which one did you see, from what I understand, both are going for $7,999.
Could you give me a description of the car? What was wrong with it?
Help from any of you to locate a decent one in the 8K range would really be appreciated! My buying power is restricted by the depth of my pockets! Maybe I shouldn't be looking at a Soarer

Gees, 8 grand...You've gotta wonder why their value is so low... It is THE MOST WELL EQUIPPED car in Aus(bar maybe the celsior) I have seen manufactured in the 90's, and going for peanuts. Reliable, luxury, fully featured, reasonably powerful, handles okay, look nice and modern.

I missed GT Limited over here last weekend, really nice and maintained by Toyota, 131,000km on the clock and everything worked. Arrived to see the new owner shaking hands with the seller! It went for 10K. Being over here, I have to factor in transporting it over to Perth and ORC as well, but from what I hear you folks are saying, it looks I might have to pass on the Soarer for now I am keeping my fingers crossed though!

Spoke to the former owners this morning and they said that the car is actually running well with no problems in the last few years, it's just that the dash is cracked and that the passenger side central lock is not working. All else works has been working consistently. The car was serviced on a regular basis as well.
Have Neil from Rush helping to find a car for me. As I am in no hurry, I will wait and see what he manages to pull out of the hat!

Alfred, NO ONE in this club wants to see you buy a "Dog", as in: A less than acceptable Soarer..........PLEASE heed the advise given to you by wise heads, from within this club,......
