Hey, i'm not sure if i'm posting in the right section, or if I should be making a post at all, but there's a couple of people in Geelong I want to track down.
One is the bloke I met in the little ryrie street car park a couple of weeks ago.
The other is the owner of the Soarer for sale on south valley road in highton.
Just wondering if either of those two people are on here and if I could contact them/find out who they are. Mainly because I don't know anyone else in Geelong that owns a Soarer at the moment. Cheers!

That new posts thing is pretty crap actually
Unless there is some way of having it show new posts in only certain forums and without showing each and every new post in each topic (you only need to know that there is a new post in a topic not how many)

WTF??????
if you only want to check a new thread, then just do so. Most regular members check all the new stuff each day. then just skim down til something interesting catches your eye and read it.

Michael, if you like to do it the manual way, the Topics are flagged with a bright little yellow "New" icon, and then threads inside the topics are also flagged with the bright little yellow "New" icon.
As Avin mentioned, skimming the New Posts list is a great time saver. If for example it's a post on turbo's, then being a V8 owner you probably normally wouldn't read it. But if you see what looks like being humour and mild heckling, you might then check it to find out what is actually going on.
Of course if you just logged in looking for a specific thread, then it is all of no consequence.
A lot of time and effort went into customising SC to make it as useable as possible. It's a busy forum and most of us don't have time to sit there all day hunting and pecking to find the new posts and interesting stuff as you would need to do on most forums.
It is different to use, and probably most appreciated by either new forum users who learn it quickly or very experienced forum users that can appreciate some of the finer and more subtle features.
Perhaps for the average forum user who has just learn't to do it one way, eg VB users, then it's a bit more of a challenge to deal with something that is different.
Also, you can nominate your favourite Topics in your Profile (when was the last time you actually explored that?) and then just have those topics show in your New Posts list etc.
