Time to party!!!

I have returned to Soarer land after a long absence. I used to be a regular part of the old ALSC when it was about, and also used to run the WA faction of the ALSC (initially with Gregg when we first started up).

I have owned a Soarer UZZ30 (V8) and also a GT-TL Twin-Turbo. For the past couple of years I have been running around in a Honda Prelude 4-cylinder and after a long while decided that I needed comfort, styling and technology back.

So yesterday officially my Prelude left and I put down a deposit for my "new" Soarer. My Soarer is a pearl white GT-TL, and I should have a couple of more pictures come Wednesday when I pick her up. I will post them up then.

So hello once again, and I'm glad to be back in the Toyota camp.

3rd time lucky for sure. My first Soarer was fantastic and after thinking about it for a while, it was probably a huge mistake back then to let it go. Was such a nice car.

My second Soarer, well that just had a stupidly loud exhaust on it, and something didn't seem particularly right with that car - so I blame it for making me lose my taste for the car at that point.

This time round though, things should be a lot better. Can't wait to get it and go for a bit of a cruise. Haven't done a lot of cruises lately, but might try and come to one every now and then (depends on what the girlfriend's got planned of course).

Welcome back Will! Just goes to show how good these cars are that they keep dragging us back into them.

I also changed my Prelude for the SC400. Big difference. The Prelude was a great little car and a bit of fun to drive, but nowhere near the fun and luxury and power of the SC400.

Yeah Prelude was fun to drive around (I did that car up to though). Was fun, but I need to buy something that has all the plush and power to go with it. The plans I have for the Soarer is gonna be awesome.

I should have some happy snaps soon. Just waiting on my bank cheque to clear, then I can get my money and get my car (which is ready and looking schmick!!).

Bank Cheque cleared yesterday and I was a little overwhelmed with excitement. I handed the cheque over yesterday and took my "new" Soarer for a drive home.

Wow!!! I am so glad to be back in a Soarer. The Pearl White has been a hit so far with friends and folks. The car is smooth and just takes off like a rocket with a little bit of throttle pressure. Excellent drive, luxurious and just whispery quiet. Just what I was after.

So glad I made the change back. Now I have to start thinking of the eventual mods that will be done to the car. First up though will be that FM Modulator that I need desperately. AM is ok for a while, but I need my FM's.

As promised here are some pictures of my "new" Soarer. I love the pearl white color. This one has a goldish tint to it when the sun hits it (not like the other pearls I have personally seen).

Couple of things that I still need to fix or replace. The front bumper support under the passenger headlight is damaged and loose and so is the lip that's attached to it.

Also the underbody part of the rear bar has a bit snapped out of it (just next to the tailpipe - I suspect someone stuffed up while jacking it up).

I got surprised when I saw this metal plate. I don't know if it's just an "ornament" or whether my suspension is actually what it suggests. May have to jack up and clean the things to find out. Mind you the car does sit lower than factory.

The thing actually says TEIN - High Performance Suspension - could it be true???
