Hi guys & girls, its time to come clean. My name is Alan Stevenson (stevo) I am a C6 quad and have been a, in the back ground member for nearly 2 years. Numerous members know me and of my racing injury history and this hasn't been a deterent for friendship, help and some times a bloody good laugh this is a real attribute to them and the club as a whole. But now I need your help. Myself and another quad have entered the Targa Tas Tour to help with awareness for SCI (spinal cord injured) on in 3 weeks a mammoth task we feel we must take on. After having new tyres fitted on friday we discovered that both rear air bag shocks were leaking oil. A few club members have been very helpfull in advise to find some, with Lew being the only posative lead to date. The probs I have are that all our funds have gone into the entry leaving little left for unexpected break downs. I certainly don't expect them for free but anything we can save to help the budget we need to do. Can you help or give directions to where we may find some shocks to fit our Uzz31 V8. Hopefull we can do the Soarer community proud in our effort. Please keep an eye out for us, our number is 57, and of course its a Soarer. I love watching Targa Tasmania each year, and can't wait to see you soaring in it!! As I know stuff all mechanics I can't really help much, but I'll be cheering you on!!(well, at my TV, Tasmania's a bit far away) Will you be flying some Soarer Central stickers?? Would love to see that!!
Actually, why don't we see if we can do a fund raiser? It seems to me to be a good cause. Alan, do you have a PayPal Account? You can count me in for $20. It's not alot, but it's a start. And if every member can give what they can, we should be able to see you right. Come on guys, chip in and help.
