Howdy folks!

Some of you may know about my new car, it arrived today!YAY!. I bought it from Rob Hayden. Its a Twin turbo, black 92, with sunroof and cruise control, tricked auto, new engine and lotsa mods to give it some real stick. The suspension has had some serious work with coilovers and swaybars upgraded along with performance bushes. Overall, Im totally stoked with the car. I can hold long slides with confidence thanks to a torsen LSD and quality PZero rubber. There is nothing about the car I dont like, save for one niggly thing. The sunroof. I'm 6'4 1/2, my mums Samoan, so its kinda "snug" to begin with. having driven soarers without sunroofs in the past, I've found them to be a perfect fit. the sunroof however, intrudes marginally onto my hair, but thasts cool, cos tomorrow i think i will shave it off! Otherwise I'll just have to drive around like a mario with the seat back.
Thats something to think about for all you tall blokes and ladies out there looking for soarers. be sure to test drive a sunroof version first.

Apart from that, Im totally wrapped, and it great to finally own one after scouring these and teh old ALSC pages for many years dreaming...

Mate I can feel for you on the sunroof issue. Im 6'4" myself, and yeah have my hair spiked up, and it always manages to hit the roof. But you get used to it eventually...

I have seen one car where the seat was retrimmed and the squab was made lower. Only by an inch or so but that's enough for me to clear the sunroof.

the squab was made lower huh? hmm, i wonder if any retrimmer could do that? Id definitely pay to get that done! Got any details about that?

Hey Aaron, congrats you finally got yourself a Soarer! Just looking at your photo there, you got a 1992 black TT with factory chrome there... do you have manual dark grey seats and woodgrain too? If so then you got yourself one of those 1992 special edition "Black & White" series apparently. Only 200 of them were made in black and white only, 100 of each. As far as I know only me and Callum Finch have those, looks like you have one too :-)

Congrads Aaron !!! I know the feeling about being tall, I am 6'1" and my head almost always hit the roof.. so just lean the seat back a bit and enjoy the cruise :-)
