Mark, I can't help with checking out TT's but most have some trim issues by now. Most trim is available from Toyota - but at a cost. Depends what and how bad the issues are.
Most of us live with a few minor trim cracks, there are repairs you can do though they aren't perfect, some people have had good results from professional trim repairers however.
If it's wear, then that may indicate higher km's than the speedo reads - not at all uncommon, as it's reasonable to expect a 13yo car to have done more than 100,000km that this one quotes.
Condition of the steering wheel is often a good indicator of wear.
No doubt some of the TT guys will be along to give you some tips about what else to look for.

Hi Mark,
I wouldn't worry about the turbos too much if the car hasn't been modified - its all good quality stuff and lasts pretty well. As Peter said, check the wheel, the pedals, foot rest, hand brake, door slop and gear selector etc to get a real idea of the milage.

It doesn't say how long the car has been in Australia but the owner should have a service record for the Australian bit at the least. That's often the best way to find out if it's been clocked. What was the mileage at import time and when was it imported.
The speedo is often reset in Japan when they fix the "blinky-dash" thing.

Well, in theory there should be a green plate (or some other colour now, don't know which one) in the engine bay with the date when the car was imported into australia and by whom
Probly the best place to start, as many of the members know the owners of many of the cars. Good luck with finding a car. My Black 92 TT just arrived on Monday!!! In my opinion, get the best car you can afford with the money you have, you will save more in the long run if you plan on doing modifications.

Mark, we take a tough line on presentation. Please drop the SMS-speak ("u" = "you") and take a little more care with presentation, eg correct use of capitals etc.
Or you will get sin-binned with no further warning.

Yep, but after a 5:00am start, driving 14 hours straight, then a few hours catching up on what has happened while I was away (both here and at work) I am stoofed! So I might be mildly lenient for a few hours until I recover.
Or not!
