Thought it would be polite to introduce myself, got a green (of course) UZZ31 landing in a few days (cant wait) for a nice bit of fun. Best thing i guess is that its completely stock and unmolested so hopefuly thats a good sign.
Used this place as a knowledge base to get info before i made the purchase, it was great. Has a very similar feeling of community the same as the starion guys did, definately a sense of comradery (new word?) in having something pretty rare and unique.
Anyway, to get full comp insurance to protect me from theft, they say I have to have an australian approved 2 point or immobiliser fitted. Does the soarer have (i suspect yes) an immobiliser stock or am i looking at an aftermarket setup?

Steven, some insurance companies also have a list of brands that they accept, probably worth asking them before you drop your wallet on someone's counter.

steven as far as i know the soarer wont have a two point imoboliser and in any case man if it has one its probably gonna need replacing..But just one thing to think about. How is you insurance company gonna proove if your car had a imoboliser fitted after being stolen?? As if they would find it in one peice looking all hunky dory doesnt happen, not in australia that i know of.

Its up to me to prove i had it fitted, otherwise it isnt covered, its part of the t&c.
Had our own starion site, because of the numbers it ends up in a community where everyone knows everyone but not small enough to get boring too quickly.
There were only about 2000 ever imported to Australia so its a 'share the pain and the joy' kinda thing because more than likely, most other people there would have known what your going through.
