Hi, i have a 93 uzz30 and coming from a lowered hilux ute it is quite comfortable!
Mods so far is the exhaust from the cats back and the alloy wheels which will probably be replaced with something wider down the track.
I thought i had got a bargain with only paying NZ$5000 for it but the powersteering leaked onto the alternator and now they are both out waiting for me to reco them.
I went from this...
To this...
It was filthy when i picked it up!

Hi Simon,
I think I've seen the Hilux around - always seemed a bit pointless modding a ute like that to me but whatever floats your boat I guess.
'93 model UZZ30 in NZ is pretty rare! Bugga about the alternator - if its bad it may need replacing, but hopefully not (I had to get a new one once on warranty - warranty maxed out at $2000 and I had to pay an extra $100 on top of that (included fitting). Looks like the headlights have the usual fogging issue which is easy to fix. Seems like a bargain to me!

Thanks guys, there really is a lot of info on here which has come in handy rebuilding the ps pump. I have given the headlights a bit of a polish up with some scratch remover now and it came up much better than what it was.
Regarding the ute, i imported it from japan with the lowering, paint and tray modifications done to it as i thought it would be cheaper than buying one in nz (yeah right). It pretty much worked out to be the same price as buying a local one and pouring money into it. It had amazing handling though, it was like it was on rails once the tyres warmed up.
