Gday all,
I'm from Perth and recently became the proud owner of a black on black 1997 JZZ31 Soarer. Probably one of the best purchases I've ever made...it's true what everyone says on here: one drive and you're hooked.
You wake up half an hour earlier to take the long way to the office...Stress at work disappears - cause you know what waits for you in the carpark at the end of the day and driving becomes an experience...not an inconvenience!
It's the straight 6 3.0litre - Just enough power for when I need it and with enough fuel efficiency to keep me paying the mortgage.
This site's great and has helped with things like resetting the computer, taking out the dash and cleaning it, fixing a leaking headlight...etc
Look forward to being part of it and hope to take a few photos of the car this weekend.

Welcome Paul, make sure you join in the WA Soarer Club events. There a great bunch of guys / girls. Check out some of the WA members / cars at www.wasoarerclub.com and there is a link to the WALSC web site there as well.

I agree with you 110%! When I decided to buy a Soarer, I figured I'd see how it went and play it by ear then maybe sell it in a year's time. Now I'm nearly certain that I don't ever want a different car!
I love reading the new Soarer owner's posts. Makes me realise once again how awesome these cars really are.
Toyota/(Lexus) engine, you can't go wrong with that. Timeless looks (almost no exterior change from the '91 model). Perfect balance of sports and luxury.
I'm glad that it never made it into Australia to be made, imports make the car more unique and less like horrible Commodores that are EVERYwhere.
