I may not have much to contribute here as I'm not that mechanically minded, but having become a Soarer owner and a member of the forum I thought I should at least say hello.
So, “Hello”
I stumbled across this site by accident and it has been hugely helpful so far and doubtless will be even more so as time rolls on. I pity Soarer owners who don't know about this place. Thanks to the people who maintain and contribute to this site - you've already saved me some $$ and more importantly you've saved me from a heap of grief.
After 20 years of driving people movers, all but 1 of the little darlings have now left home so it was time to put the long suffering Tarago out to pasture and get a real car. I was fortunate to be able to babysit a Soarer for a month in 2004 and it impressed me a lot. My wife and I did a heap of research prior to buying and just kept coming back to the fact that provided you stay away from a neglected one you get an awful lot of car for your money with a Soarer, and even though they are 10+ years old now they still look and feel modern and lack for nothing feature wise. Couldn't argue. Bought one (three weeks ago). Loving it. My daily commute is up and down Mount Tamborine so you can perhaps imagine that compared to what I've been used to it is so, so nice to have a car that doesn't have to think about it. Bliss.

Welcome Peter. You could not have picked a better place to own a soarer especially with Lew from Marlew Performance based here on the Gold Coast. He does all my repairs and many others on this forum (including 100k servicing)
