Zee, V8's don't break down very often as long as you look after them - and they really aren't that complicated and scary (though can be expensive if something does go wrong)

I was in Wagga for army training lol not that long ago there is another V8 limited getting around it's white and looks like my brothers old 4WD it's that high, even when he played with height controller it didn't make it much lower.
I'm in Bandiana now if you need any advice if something has gone wrong a soarer I've had it I reckon.
I've had brakes lock on, dropped coil packs, lost air-con for other reasons than what is on forum, car won't start with key when warm, alarm play up. LoL so yeah if you need anything I can point you in a direction oh also blown diff. But yeah otherwise since being fixed I've had no drama's and I know the date of when it was fixed then so yeah all good.

ummm mate don't waste your money on a mechanic for just a service hey, unless you really don't have any spare time to do one yourself.
On a lazy day it was taking me 20mins to do an oil and filter change. however I have removed the bash guard from under the engine (been off nearly a year and no difference)
I've changed plugs, filters, dizzy caps, rotor buttons, even changed the valve body in the transmission all without the help of a mechanic only time it goes to a mechanic is if it is major ie brakes locking on for no reason.
I was running penrite oil and just a repco filter. As it's changed every 5000km they don't stay on there very long. Once again no difference I have found with genuine and aftermarket. But if you perfer genuine shouldn't be too hard to get you may need to have it shipped to you though. I know a supplier back home in Newcastle who could organise something but if that is to be the case make it worth your while to have it shipped like order a couple of them.

Greetings, Chamindra, from a former Wagga resident (worked at the Met station at the Airport '87-88).
Mark, the "bash guard" under the engine is actually part of the streamlining. While it's a pain at servicing, I'd put it back on. It also helps to reduce wind noise, I believe.

LoL streamlining... Mike I've had it off for over 12months now, and i've also been keeping fuel/km ratio's and they never changed until i put in a K&N panel filter when they dropped down to about 11 litres/100km around town
Wind Noise... Mmmm bit hard when exhaust is already breaking 96dB on the back off. Appreciate the info though Mike, but honestly think it is a waste of time being on there, really it's a skid pan.
The wind and streamlining my be an issue for a standard ride height of the soarer but i've got super lows all round and it sits nicely off the road. the one from the front bar back is still on.

Have to agree with Dan. Have a look at any high performance/high speed machine and they try to keep the bottom of the car as smooth as possible. Creates a low pressure zone under the car which 'sucks' the car to the ground. Has the added bonus of 'pulling' the hot air down out of the engine bay aiding engine bay air flow.
Hi Ryan When will you be in Wagga? I saw another Soarer (Blue) parked at Harvey Norman last Saturday (28th of OCT) was that you? It didn’t have any badge on the back. ~
I did the service last weekend. It was a Piece of cake BIG BIG THANKS to Mark I used Ryco Z418 filter with 10W40 Repco semi-synthetic. As Mike said "bash guard" is a bit pain at servicing, but it all went cool, but I put it back (As Dan said... don't wanna snags in) There's a noticeable difference with and without the bash guard (Lots of dust in ) and its shape..Totally agreed with Ben and Dan So it's done for another 5000Kms, but didn't change the plugs yet.I will change them after another 3000Kms. I am gonna have a look at the stacker this weekend, cos the laser has just gone crasy according to Mark Paddick. Thanks guys you are the best Saved a lot of money... ~
