I know I seem to be asking some weird questions lately but please bear with me....
Does anyone have a guide (in English) to the various vacuum pipes that connect to the manifold? The pipes have numbers on either end which is helpful but I want to check that they are all actually connected to the right things. I have the Soarer bible but the 1JZ section is in Japanese.
I found out today that my heater doesn't work (it just started getting cold over here) and tried the VSV bypass but that did no good. However, I did notice that the pipes between it, the actuator and the manifold don't look as though they belong there - you know, short bits, long bits, one bit with a strange black restricter inside it etc.
I'm thinking that if the vacuum pipe to the VSV valve is in the wrong place then maybe something else is too.
Anyway, I have searched but nothing doing. Anyone?

Just found out that the check valve between the manifold and the VSV valve was on the wrong way round. In another thread, Manny said:
"As an aside, TT owners should consider cable tying the rubber ends on that one way check valve between the manifold and the VSV valve - if it blows off at high boost (as happened to me.....), AFRs immediately lean off as it shares a common internal manifold flow rail with the fuel pressure regulator and you all know what happens then if you've already got a marginal fuel trim/tune!"
I'm wondering, what would the effect of the check valve being wrong be on fuel pressure in light of Manny's comment about the link to the FPR?
