i am planning to make the clear cam covers which was the same one sold by the Joshwa.just wondering what is the engine temps? the material that i will use is plastic.as i know normal plastic will only hold up to 100 degrees,if the temps will be higher than that the plastic will be another shape.
anyone got any ideas with the material for the cam cover thanks

Thermostat temp is 82 deg. All else being well the front of the engine should not get a lot hotter than that. 72 deg thermostats are available from TRD.

I have used a lazer thermo on the camcover; on a hot day after a few runs it hits 70-80degrees. Hottest part of the engine bay after the turbo heat sheild.
Id make sure the pastic is thermosetting type so it doesnt melt and become gooey.

Very unlikely it will get hotter than the engine oil temperature which is governed by water temperature which shouldn't raise higher than say 95degrees.
