Hi guys,

Sorry I know this isn't a Soarer but I thought it may interest the TT guys.
This is my MX73 Cressida as it stands today, and down further is what I am planning to do with it in the next few months :-)
Sorry If I have posted this in the wrong section :-(

Current specs are:

1985 MX73
MV Auto Rebuilt Stage 2 auto, 2800 stall, 1.5 shift kit, extra clutchpacks
FMIC 600x300x90
3" Exhaust
Apexi pod
Hiperboost boost controller
Volk TE37's 7.5" 30+
Rockford Fosgate Front splits, 3 ways at the back and old school RF amp

And thats about all I can think of.
It has made 215kw with dumps and running 14psi but this for one run to test the dumps then they were taken off ready for my new turbos in the future. So its probably more like 190rwkw.

Future plans are:

Repaint in PPG Purple Reigns (starts this Monday)
Trust Twin TD05 turbo kit (should arrive in about a month)
Kit includes twin Genuine HKS wastegates and manifolds
Sard 800cc injectors
Twin walbro fuel pumps
TruTrac Diff
Sard Fuel Reg
Greddy Emanage
Apexi Rev Speed meter
Blitz SBC i-D 3 boost controller
HKS Racing type 2 blow off valve
Rais the stall to 3400 and make lockups on/off
R33 4 piston calipers mated to Brembo 330mm cross drilled and slotted rotors
Custom whiteline sway bars 28mm solid front and 14mm back
Cutom front coilovers
Custom whiteline springs 350lbs front and 250 at the back
Tokico shocks

All this "should" be happening in the coming months. Hopefully if I survive through xmas I will get stuck right into it.

I was a bit wary of posting this before I had done all the upgrades because you tend to get alot of people putting in their 2 cents worth about how they would have done it haha but Im over it so by all means comments and constructive criticisms are welcome :-)

Looks clean! I am a huge Cressida fan, I own two 1990's and made my brother buy a 91. They are great cars, just bulletproof!
I mean, they are no Soarer, but :-)

Thats great. It seems there are quite a few of these 1JZ Cressidas cruising around Australia now. Must be real dangerous and suprise a lot of people.

Im waiting for a Takumi drift cressida movie to come out. Then prices will rise like the AE86.

First time I have actually seen your car mate :-) Looks good.

Do your intercooler pipes go inside the end tanks?

Sean: That's awesome! I was looking at getting an 83' for a run around but I just know that I will want to chuck in another 1J haha mm there no Soarer but thats probably its biggest asset..no-one suspects a Cressida :-)

Shaun: There are alot of 1J Cressies and also a few 2J's for that matter starting to popup. Us hybrid guys are starting to lose that sleeper effect because everyone is getting a bit wary when they pull up alongside a Cressy haha mainly due to the huge achievements of Shane's 83'

Hey Chris, you finally get to see whats caused me so much grief over the past few years haha how's your lil beast going? What turbo and ECU did you end up going with? I remember reading all the trouble you went through with the Wolf and TA45 turbo :-( oh nope the pipes were just placed there to get an idea how it would sit, it now uses reducers to join the piping to the intercooler.

Microtech LT12s and currently have the TA45 but selling it and downsizing to a Hypergear TR44. Basically the same as GT30 but no BB.

That makes sense re cooler piping. I was wondering how they wouldn't get blown off!

I will probably look at that ECU aswell later on down the track, alot of 1JZ guys are getting great results from them. I am intrigued by the hypergear turbos aswel, can't wait to see what they can do.

Here is a teaser pic of the twin TD05 kit that I hope will be delivered in the next month or so.
