Hey peoples. Just found these on Ebay and was wondering if anyone is/ or has used something like these on a 1jz engine.
My dad used a set of underdrive pulleys on his modded 5.0L windsor, with a net of 9rwkw. And a slightly better power graph all the way to redline. Hence my interest.

Ahh yeah, i have seen the Greddy ones also after some searching today. Although the 500 bux for me is better put towards dump pipes or + shift kit. BUT, i have to put it in and get water pump + Timing belt done in the next 2 weeks. Then i move into my house in 5 weeks, so my mods are on hold until next year at this stage.

Oi, Encarta!
What does this pulley kit do? And how does it increase performance? I can't seem to find any info VIA search, only people who mention they want it, no hard info.

Different sized pulleys so things like the alternator etc run slower, hence using less power from the engine, hence more power available for the wheels.

Daniel i wouldn't use the un-dampered crank pulley mate, regardless of the price. If its cheap enough, might be worth buying for the other two that come in the package though!

Ill be looking at the greddy package a little later down the track, hopefully after the cams and front mount go in ill have some time to re-coup funds and order a set of 3 pulleys.
Ill have them in before dyno day along with a TRD thermostat and adjustable ex camgear
