I have the opportunity to buy a PowerFC for a 96 and up VVTI Soarer, but I have an early non-vvti car. Are there wiring differences at the ECU or did Toyota add an extra wire for the VVTI? Will it work in my application or not at all? I don't mind a 'little' rewiring work but nothing insane.

Well not work. Don't even bother trying as its not just the wiring that's different.

You'd quite easilly make a profit on that purchase... depending on how much it is initially and whether or not it has the hand controller.

Or you could just swap engines :-)

Yep, buy it and sell it off mate. They stopped producing PowerFC so they will be quite hard to get your hands on in the future, someone with VVTI will definately buy it off ya* :-)

Haven't been on here in a bit, the PFC is around 1100 US$, with commander which wasn't bad for a AP engineering special. I'm not getting it afterall, I"m looking into AEM now.
