Nope... Emanage allows for voltage clamp. SAFC does not.

Hey Reepa, why don't you put a picture of a car in your profile ?

Question : What do you guys know about magnaflow cats ?

Are they any good ; because the shop ( Midas ) wants to charge me 400 for a cat, and I can get this 3" for 200 :

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=004&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=1 40070930654&rd=1&rd=1

Is 200 too much for installation of a 3" mandrel bent pipe from dump down to flange where the muffler joint starts ? I supply cat . It seemed ok price wise, and the guys seem to know what they're doing.

Cheers

Chris you are correct. it alters the voltages from the MAP, Thus slightly raising boost cut.

Marius, if you're afraid of boost cut then don't step on the accelerator all the way? You're not going to be hitting boost cut that often unless you are under WOT all the time, and that in itself wouldn't be good for the car.

Can someone confirm whether boost cut has any negative consequences because I don't think it does?

Marius i bought the same magnaflow cat off the same guy, that cat seems good, not a high flow one thought, there just normal 3" cats. This stopped my boost cut issue, as i had a hollow cat before.
I paid the ebay price, plus about $140 i think for mechanic i use to put it in, who is not an exaust specialist. Mine would have required some more effort as well, as my pipes wern't actually 3".
Good luck

I know , but my wife is occasionally driving the car as well, and when she floors it she might get scared or so ... I just want it to behave normally; but you are right, to hit maximum boost I need to be uphill or on a freeway or just myself alone driving normally to work :-)

Nah, joking, I baby it usually.
