Has anyone got any ideas on what this is? I cleaned it off not long ago and now it's BACK!

looks like its coolant leaking from the rubber hose that goes into the alloy one at the front of the engine.

i would check the rubber hose for any cracks then replace the clap with a different one.

I think the toyota coolant is formulated to do this so you can see the leaks.

It looks like gunk to me. That's what I had in my cooling system when I had it 80% blocked. I suggest you:

1. Check all your hoses and clamps, including water lines to the turbos for leaks

2. Do a complete cooling system flush

yeah radiator coolant. Happened to me from that same hose. Costs $70 for a new one from memory.
