is it hard to fix a leaking water pump as the guy
i got the car off tolled me it was replaced not to long a go and it does look brand new ,i know it was a pain in the ass to do it to my gtr .

Its a damn hard job, just went through it on my car. Should be some sort of warranty on it maybe? Get receipts...

Check the condition of the Timing Belt while your at it. IF it wasnt changed, i suggest doing it anyways so you know it has been done and will last you the next 100,000km's.

Also watch out for the Cam belt tensioner ( me thinks) as these can sometimes not wanna work again.

here is a guide on toymods that i did when i went through doing timing belt and water pump and other misc seals.
It took me a while (mainly cos of my ability to dawdle better than anyone i know), and taking piccies.
