Hi guys,

I took my car in the other day to the mechanics as i heard this squeaky noise coming from my engine bay at idle.

It sounds like a high pitch noise which is nearly persistant. My mechanic took all the pulleys apart and tried each one and found no problem with them. He greased the fan belt which did nothing.

What could this be? When you put your ear to the engine bay it sounds like its coming from where the fan belt pulleys are.

Cheers

Timing belt ? Make sure the tensioner is not locked, causing the belt to slip instead of roll on it, it will break within a few hundred kays.

Take off radiator fan and pull out the cambelt covers and inspect I suppose

some times you can get a sqeaky noise from a blown exhaust gasket,
