Hey all let me state search gave me no results I was wondering if its possible to get a dose from a twin turbo 1jz? i mean from what i have been told the turbos run 'in line with each other' therefore you would assume that when one spins both spins? Would a dose pipe actually make the turbos dose or would there be inconsistency of 'backdraft' from the engine to the turbos (going positive to negative at different times between the turbos). Just wondering. Let me know if you have ever heard a TT soarer with a dose. Thanks Chris

Ill rectally sodomise the next person that says DOSE and PIPE in the same sentance. Same forum for that matter. But, persistant you will be, so heres what you do. Simply cut the front airbox open, or perform the BFI mod and keep it 'lidless' and it amplifies the COMPRESSOR SURGE that makes VLT's apparently cool.

The 'kaching' noise is the bell on the register at the speed shop as it opens up to take your money for parts to make your car sound $hit

block off the bov, get a pod instead of your airbox and you'll have tututu and a set of blown turbos

My old starion used to do it, there was no pipe as such it was just an intercooler setup, no plastic tubing at all and no BOV. As soon as you close the throttle on boost the pressure has to go somewhere and that would be out the open pod. It was loud, it was fun and it was BEFORE 'does' was even coined. Mostly was referred to as flutter. I have to say, i would probably be sick of it if it werent on my car, but i enjoyed it at the time and brings back good memories. Oh and it wasnt like that vl, was quicker and higher pitched.

You do know that the sound is air being bounced back and forth from your turbo blades.

They are deadly loud. Walk down George st in sydney any night and you will hear them. Dose and atmo BOV are just wank factors but hey if you have them you love them if you dont you hate them. It is a personal prefrence. I wouldnt mind a flutter and then a dump. tututututu chuuuuu. And VL are legendary cars after all. Every chocko has had one in the past. You usually learn hooning 101 on them.
