About a a week ago i started my car to find that it quickly died. It starts, then the revs drop lower and lower until it eventually stalls itself. A couple of days before this, my standard fuel pump started whining, and i thought this must have been more then a coincidence. Today i installed a brand new Walbro pump only to find it is still having trouble starting.
When the car stays on for more then 5 seconds it means i am in the clear and i don't have a problem while driving. Any ideas on the problem???

do a bridge between B+ and Fp in the diagnostic port and see if the problem goes away (it should) if it does than you need to replace your fuel pump ecu.
