hi all

As some of you probly don't know.. i had my licence suspended last year. 29th nov for 6 months. i have 5 weeks and 1 day to go. (not that i am counting) any who.... i have been stuck in the shed with my girl (jzz30) since i bought her.. i stretch her legs every so often.. cough... and noticed that after ive been up and down a few times after a long warm up that she will start to smoke.. none at start up and f*** all at idle.. but as soon as the revs go above idle and up to bout 3 gz the blueish smoke comes out to show its ugly face.. being an ex vl commodore owner i am currently freaking out bout turbo seals( no oil in piping) and more importantly...rings....

could this be simply my oil being too thin (magnatec 15w 40)

or am i up for open heart surgery

Werner

(other motorist my age DONT LOSE YOUR F****** LICENCE, trust me....) 6 months is ALOT longer than you think.....

and for those who are wondering.... 60 in a 50 zone on a double points weekend... wait for it... in an eagle boys delivery car..$800+

15w 40 wouldnt be too thin.

Id say thats about right for a old Engine. Ive been using 10w 30 but am gonna move to 15w 40.

As for the bluish smoke i dunno?

I run Amsoil Synthetic 5w-30 and NO smoke. But i'm sure it slips past gaskets a bit easier.

A little better protection on cold starts and when up to operation temps it's what the engine was engineered to use.

thanks guys..
yer it was on a double points weekend.. they had a holiday bust when i was on my delivery run....

any way.. only 5 weeks and like 4 days to go....

I was planing on going with penrite hpr15... any comments on that decision? that would be thicker then the magnatec and hopefully wont slip past any gaskets.. I will be monitoring turbo seals closly when im back on the road as there was a fair amount after the front turbo..... since i changed the oil from the sludge that was in there i havent seen anything new.. but i am concerned about the smoke.. i had a thought the other day.. it does actually smell of fuel.. and my exhaust is missing an item or 2 so i was thinking maybe my oxygen sensor is playing havok with my ecu??? am i right in my assumption and if so how do i fix this?

Werner
