I have an issue with my 1J, sometimes when I give it a press on the pedal it kinda falls over, it's like a carby car with a heavy accel pump, kinda like it over fuels, then as it rights itself it takes off.
If you watch the dash, the revs drop but the boost rises {my doesnt move at all} its like a antilag setup, but not in the good way, if i put my foot down more it can get worse or right itself and shoot me off at warp speed, kinda dangerous, you have to be careful in the rain or caps may be near by.
has never stalled, sometimes pops out the exhaust when i try to accelerate thru it
its definatly an electrical issue,
what could it be O2, tps, map??????
Also, sometimes when i accelerate onto the highway i give it about 30% throttle and it'll accel like i keep putting my foot down, but not smoothly, like 3000, 3200, 3400, jumps in rpm and holds it momentarily before jumping some more,
If i flatten it it revs fine everytime, but it may stumble low in the revs as before.

working thru that right now myself.... i have found many problems to be the culprit on the boards here and others, but it seems that there is a weak link in the ecu itself where the actuator banks fail one at a time (two cylinders at a time due to batch fire setup) So, instead of working thru changing everything it could be.....plugs, wires, coils, map sensor, tps sensor, fuel pump, etc.... i just bought a greddy e-manage to hook up and read what's going on... if it fixes it, i know it's the ecu and vavoom it's fixed, otherwise, i'll keep you updated of my findings....seems everyone else fixes all the little things first...i'm going at it the other way.... which will tell me what's wrong too with the live data read!!!

ok, so the greddy ems was not the fix i was looking for..... it confirmed everything was in working order, except it says my fuel is at 100% feed!!!!!!! something must be telling it to give 100% feed, but what? what sensor would do this?? All sensors are within stock parameters..... now having to do it the other way....changed out my fuel filter...was a little plugged, but not the answer either...changed out my fuel line....found it to be swollen and spongy at the feed near the engine.... not the answer....only thing i haven't done(doing tomorrow) is check fuel pressure at the rail...possible fuel pump problem??? not sure... wow this sucks!!

i've already sunk close to $2000 (US) into finding this problem...i hoped the greddy ems would tell me ..."OK CHANGE YOUR TPS" ... and i'd be done.....didn't happen that way at all!!!
