Okay, so since ive got the new engine i now have more headaches than before!

Ive got roughly $1000 to spend (spend = on myself = on car. Not the missus for once).

Now considering that the engine is out and it would be relatively easy to fit dump pipes; would this be the way to go? With the intention of fitting the rest of the system in the coming months.

Or do you guys have any different ideas on how to better spend $1000 (parts and labour)to get some decent performance out of the car?

Dumps are a good choice, will be very easy to fit while the engine is out, and will save yourself a sh1t load of labour costs down the track.

btw if your after a set of dumps, I have a set, brand new never used, will cost you $470 delivered to your door

Suresh, look into an exhaust system and some management.

An Emanage blue will suit you needs well, i just sold a plug in unit for $450. Two hours on the dyno, some more boost and you're looking at another 20-30rwkw.

$1K eh? I was quoted about that much for a 3" system from the standard dumps to where it splits into a twin 2.25" system with new mufflers, 3" cat. Cant remember about resonators.

Should open her up a bit too.

I have since got myself some dumps and a quality 3" cat. Just need to save up for the rest and get it all done at once.

Im not looking to fitting the dumps myself though. :-(

Just on the topic of Neils' dumps.
Has anyone got these on?

Also is it worth spending the extra $300 and getting a set of Lews or are the benefits negligible?
