I do a lot of kays on my car, so if they're going to die quick, they'll most likely still be under warrantee. Hopefully they'll be fine, I plan to run a bit of oil into them before starting the car, hopefully that's the cause of some of these failures. If not I'll hopefully have enough money by that time to highflow the old ones.

Crank the engine over with the coilpacks unplugged for a few secs to get the oil pressure up to the turbos so they are nice and lubed up Then fire her up!

tg3 would make more power but if you get ct12a rebuilt its like getting new turbos so you know they are in great condition. and not going to fail like maybe a second hand set of tg3's then have to fork out for a rebuild on them but hey you might get a really good set of tg3's

You'll make less power on them at 20psi vs 18psi. Maybe if the car and piping, intercooler etc is really cold you'll make more power on the first dyno pull but then it will heatsoak very badly and you'll make a lot less power on the runs after that.

Got my ebay turbos yesterday. I ordered them mid last week so was happy with the speedy delivery but pretty annoyed to find one of them had a damaged blade in the compressor! Hopefully I'll get a replacement soon as my current ones are leaking badly. I've attached some images of the damaged blade and the turbo. Can somebody tell me if that's a rear or front turbo???

Managed to catch the guy on his mobile and he says that they're inspected before being sent to him that's why he doesn't bother checking. Sounds like an easy guy to deal with. Will update once I get the replacement.
