I am looking at putting in an oil catch can to try and keep the oily sludge from clogging the intercooler and keep the intake pipes clean. Just wanting to know what to look for when buying a Catch can, and also where to connect the pipes. Any relevant pictures would be great, as i'm a visual type of person!

Adam oil catch can will only help stop the oil that is blowing out of the cam covers (if any) if your turbos are by passing more than thay should you can't stop it with a catch can but any way. make sure the in and out let to the catch can is the same size as what the out let is on the cam cover. place a line from the cam cover to the bottom inlet on the catch can and return the top fitting on the catch can to the inlet pipe on the turbo's

Yeah, i was aware of that Lew thanks. I'm going to give it a go anyway. I got a Greddy copy off e-bay for $74 delivered, but the inlet and outlet are both at the top, though there is also a port at the bottom. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4576768086&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd =1 Would i be better off with the configuration that you suggested? Also, should i pack it with steel wool, or is this not necessary?

when i opened mine up (same as the one Adam posted) it was empty, I put in the stainless steel wool type thing.... the ones used in the kitchen to scrub pots... forget what they are called.

Don't bother even buying one freeman, Their useless on a soarer, i've only ever seen them work on a VL commadore(turbo) and soarers don't have that problem, "my 2cent"

Their useless on a soarer,
Thats a pretty bold statement. You should be able to run higher ignition timing and leaner air/fuel ratio's without it pinging, due to the purity of the air.

i got one for xmas last year but still havent got around to installing it lol. one problem is where to put it in the first place, but i think ill put it up next to the radiator next to my pod filter inside my airbox. also as i have a gen2 1JZ i need a pretty sharp U bend to get the return back into the inlet. Oh and the pipes that came with it and the fittings on the top of the can are different sizes to the fitting on the cam cover and the return on the inlet I dont see how the couldnt work, i mean it just separates any oil residue out of the air from the cam cover, it cant be a bad thing surely.
