I've done a search and came up with a few things i just want to clarify about the fuel/boost cut.
Boost cut seems to be around 1 bar (14.5psi) and if you get a fuel cut defender, is it true that this cut's the voltage off at a certain point. If so wouldn't that lean the top end out? This is where a computer would be able to put the extra fuel in to make it not dangerous, is this corect?
Does putting the 2jz-gte map sensor in place raise the boost cut to around 18psi, as this is what i seem to have read. Basically all i'm asking is if i put a 2jz-gte map sensor, with an emanage computer, 440cc injectors, fuel pump and GCG hiflows, can i run over 1 bar without the need for a fuel cut defender???

Just further to brendans first comment... Would the ECU never boost cut below 14.5psi assuming all your engine components are intact/working?
Some people have suggested that it does not always cut at 14.5 and that the ECU is a bit temperamental, but i thought that this wouldnt be the case and that it would be caused by other factors?

Factory boost cut is at ~13.5psi. Most cheap after market gauges aren't very accurate at all, as such the myth about it being at 1 bar came about. No matter what, the boost cut voltage doesn't change.
Blake is correct, using a supra map sensor will only raise boost cut about 1.2psi. Thats because MAP sensors use a linear pressure vs voltage output scale and the 2JZ sensor has about 10% more resolution.
