Can anyone please verify that the O-Ring that fits on the top of the TT power steering pump (underneath nut #4 as illustrated below) is part number 90301-11016.

Shaun,
I CAN verify that the part number you have listed IS correct as a SUBSTITUTE part number for the original, which is as follows.

90301-11010 (5/1991 - 8/1996) O,RING POWER STEERING PUMP, JZZ3#.

Toyota list 90301-11016 (8/1996 - 12/2000), as the substitute part number.

Thanks Don.

I just rang up our local Toyota Parts place and they were very insistent that they could not tell me anything until I provided the Model No and ID Frame No of the car (which I do not have with me at the moment) even though I have the part nos as you provided - is this usual or are they just being pedantic wankers?

It's totally normal with most Toyota dealers.
They're covering their asses in case someone comes back and says they were sold the wrong part.

So it's a fair call. Even over here in NZ, the Toyota dealers will ask for the same info.
The difference over here is that the Toyota dealers ALL have the Import EPC, and have NO problem at all with imports.
My local dealer (Tasman Toyota) has my Soarer details on their computor, so that in the (unlikely) event I don't give them a part number, they just look up the car in their system.

I can't see ANY Toyota dealer ANYWHERE having a problem IF you turn up with a part number.

Fitted a new O-Ring and topped it up with Dexron III and it now works like a dream. Cheers for the advice.

God i wish i just replaced the same o-ring on mine when it was leaking. instead i went and rebuilt the whole thing. Now it makes the loudest clunking noises ive ever heard a car make. On the upside, it isnt leaking anymore
