Most of the time when I am driving (regardless of whether the engine has fully warmed up or not), I sometimes get a weird thing happen with my revs. I will be driving along and say the car is in 3rd. I take my foot off the accelerator, or ease up on the accelerator to cruise, and notice that my revs drop and then pick up quickly. You can hear it through the exhaust note. It's like
hmmmmmmmmm mm mmmmmmmmm
I have only noticed it when easing up on the accelerator or stepping off it altogether when it does it. Otherwise normal cruising (after it's done this is fine). Of course if I accelerate and later on ease up it does the same thing.

What revs does it drop to before this happens?
I had noticed a slight blip around 1600 RPM, Cihan pointed out that it is the ECU switching the engine back "on" after having it "off" to save fuel when slowing down.

When getting off the gas, the ECU shuts the fuel injectors down as an econemy feature, but as soon as it senses the accelerator applied, it fires the injectors back up, so you will get a short rumble, which will dull in volume when the injectors shut off, then when you get back on the juice it will rumble up a little bit again.
As Pete said, it's a fuel saving configuration.
