I know that engine noises are hard to pinpoint, but I`m hoping someone can help me with this...the other day, I noticed a rattling noise coming from the rear of my engine when the AC was running...I switched the AC off and it disappeared...then when I turned the engine off, the engine came to a stop with the same rattling noise..my car`s a manual, and this rattling sound seems to vanish when the clutch is disengaged but the AC still running..the rattle is also present if I suddenly hit the accelerator and take my foot off without letting the engine rev up...anyways, my mechanic friend can`t seem to pinpoint it, so I`d appreciate any advice..
