I have a turbo setup here, it's a HKS GT3037Pro off a 2jz aristo.

The turbo manifold it has utilises the standard 2jz cast iron manifolds meaning it only has 2 pipes that lead into the flange.

What i'd like to know is if this will fit onto the 1jz standard cast iron ones? I know the ports off the block are different, but would the cast iron standard manifold be of different position?

Here is a quick diagram if it all sounds too confusing:

Are the red highlighted bits the same on both 1J and 2J engines? Saves me money if it does fit and time if it doesn't fit having to leave it in the garage till i do find a proper manifold.

It is T3 flange manifold the one i have to buy if i get one?

sorry they are different. But if you can adapt it to the 1jz manifolds, you will be onto a winner. the factory cast manifolds on both 1JZs and 2JZs are the only manifolds that have the runners going in the same direction as the exhaust ports out of the head- all aftermarket ones come out at right angles to the head.(except one cast log manifold, but even that one has to do a 180 degree turn out of cylinder 4)

There are plenty of cheap single turbo manifolds out there and they do bloody good job too.

Even if that did work chris I wouldn't recommend it simply because the standard manifolds would become to restrictive passed a certain amount of boost.. around 17 - 18psi so you you may as well get a decent single manifold. I have just done a GT35R (thanks paul) swap on my car and can say with the bigger exhaust ports going into the single exhaust housing the car sounds 10 times better :-)
