hey guys my recently bought 91 TT at start up does a system check
some times it checks and runs clear and all seems good, but on the off chance it will give the signal for engine electrical and makes that annoying 'beeeeeeeeeeeeeeep' when it flashes its warning system. other things that have happened are that it flashes ABS (once) and also just today it flashed 'odd off' ... is it dodgy or fried circutry that would make it do these random flashings and warnings?
fair enough if these warnings are legitimate, but if the warnings arent consistant, is it just dodgy?

the same thing happens to my car lol i just dont worry about it,some body told me its some thing to with the gas in the abs system ,that it is low,and what the gas is for is if the car turns off you will still have abs,i think the guy was full of but hey he might be right.

If you hold your foot pressed on the brake for a extended period of time, you will lose the pressure and you will get the ABS warning. I dunno if it happens in Soarers without TRC though, Because thats what happens to mine (i have TRC)

abs seems to function perfect.. i've done an ecu reset and it still comes up with the same problem, but instead of it being a constant every day thing, theres a 1 in 5 chance the check will clear and i can go on without a problem
the abs was just a rare flash, did it once and that was it... same with the OD off...

One of the speed sensors on my car (front right wheel i think) was unplugged, that triggered an ABS warning. Check out the diagnostics page, O/D off flashing usually indicates a gearbox issue, or if in the case of my car (once again if i ever find the previous owner...) if you have a 1J supra box installed that does not have all the plugs for the soarer loom, the ecu thinks that you dont have 4th gear, even though you are currently cruising in it!

yeah thanks guys i'l have it looked at.. one of my mates with a soarer said the OD flashing was because of a faulty solenoid in the gearbox and said if i fix that i'll go away... as for the abs i'l check it all out
