Hey guys I am having problems with my oil drain on my single turbo setup. I have tried 3 different types of gasket (I am using manifold gasket at the moment).

I have also tried various sealants as well including gasket gue, manifold cement and copper based hi temp silicone. All failing.

I dropped the turbo in to my local workshop who specialize in dyno tuning turbo vehicles. They re-machined the oil drain flange and made their own gasket, and sealed it with some purple sealant. Got it back today and it still leaks. So I pulled the turbo off yet again (8th time in the last 2 weeks!) and tryed yet again with the manifold gasket and copper based silicone and it still leaks.

I dont understand why this is happening. There is not supose to be any pressure on the conection its just a drain.

Any feed back guys would be greatly appreciated.

Yes thats what its turned out to be. Its leaking from a seal on the compressor housing side and ruining down and pooling on the gasket.

I have sent the turbo back today to get repaired as its only 4 weeks old.
