Hey all

Well with me putting in a order for a brand new greddy FMIC kit, I'm going to have a delima with the BOV.

Now I currently have a HKS Super sequential BOV installed within my current FMIC setup, but when that comes off and the greddy one goes in, there is nowhere to mount the BOV on the greddy pipework so I want to get rid of the stock BOV and mount my HKS Super sequential there.

Firstly, has anyone mounted any type of aftermarket BOV where the stock BOV used to live??

Secondly, if so, can you post up some pictures please, and was it hard to do??

Thirdly, also for whoever has, do you have the dimensions of the stock BOV port so I can get something similar made up.

Your help would be appreciated.....

GFB has a Stealth BOV which will bolt in the stock BOV location.

Yeah I know GFB has 1 and Greddy has 1 too, but I really want to use my HKS, and I dont want to spend $350 for a BOV just for the adapter kit that comes with it...

Steven, you can just get an aluminium adapter made up so you can mount the BOV onto the GReddy FMIC pipework. This is what I did, and it shouldn't cost anymore then $100.

Sorry man but paying $100 (for example) for someone to drill a hole and weld some aluminum to some already polished FMIC pipework is number 1 a rip off and number 2 spoiling the pipe and the look of it.

Thanks for your help Vinh but I dont want to destroy the pipework by drilling holes and welding other pipework onto already a smooth piece of polished pipework that greddy suplies.

Thats why I want to go back to the factory position as well, the way i see it is toyota when designing it designed it at a adquate place where it will do its job properly, so why not utalise it, rather than blocking it off...

Spot on Aaron.

I had mine mounted there before, and I nearly got defected. Luckily for me, a typical Commodore driver saved me! Highway Patrol left me alone, and went to chase him instead hehe.

Only reason why I moved it, otherwise I would've kept it in the engine bay.

Hey Steven, I put a monza BOV where the original was, cost me $150 to get an engineer to manufacture an adapter for it.
I'll post up some pics with dimensions tomorrow.
What's the internal diameter of your BOV?

Cheers for the shots Michael, I just bought a adapter plate for $40, so I'm just going to weld my HKS BOV onto the adapter plate, will take some pic's when its done too.

Except that didn't include the additional adapter plate required Yang, if you bought that, you'd need to spend an extra few dollars on the adapter so it can bolt up.
