Hey guys, i want to install 3 gauges but have not decided where to put them. If you could post up some pictures of where you have placed your gauges it would be really appreciated. Thanks guys!
i suggest don't palce them on a pillar. because last time i pulled over by the cops. cops pasted a yellow sheet on my windscreen,it says DEFECTIVE V...... and i paid the two gauges fine for 125 dollar each

I have two of mine installed underneath the head unit.. Another idea could be to install them on the passengers side woodgrain (or plain coloured) trim.
Kind of defeats the purpose of having gauges though..
What size are your gauges? I believe Ben S. from this forum has fabricated a carbon fibre piece that can hold up to 3 52mm gauges.
Alternatively, I think Defi sell a DIN 3 52mm gauge holder.

yeh 3 gauges, 52mm. I like the idea of having the 3 gauges under the head unit that looks pretty mad. Im looking to buy 3 autogauge ones from Just Jap. Can anyone vouch for them? Cause i don't want ones that will die after like 6 months or so.

Places I have seen gauges on many different cars:
The A-pillar (some cops will rake you, some wont, and others will ping you if you upset them).
Under the stereo, or instead of the stereo
On the Dash next to the A-pillar (had my boost gauge there on the 180sx, mounted to the dash).
Others have them on the dash int he middle, with a custom mount.
On the passenger side on the wood grain or actually cut into the dash and angled (kind of like the old skool 260, 280, and 300zx).
Also seen then mounted inside the glove box, and the box left open for track days and days you need to see the guages, and under the dash, angled up to be visable (but these 2 are not from Soarers).
I was thinking of doing something interesting with mine and mounting them on the roof, but looking into it:
A) Cant get the lines for the boost and oil pressure (electric guage, not mechy guage) up there easily
B) Not an easy place to mount them cleanly
C) Kind of not a practical place to keep an eye on the extra guages.

why the F**K would place them there, might as well put them in the boot and take them out on track days.
It was in a 180sx (not my old one). the particular car I am talking about was a track-only drifting car, the gauages where mounted all the way across the dash, and in a custom insert in the glovebox, but think laterally, just because something is in the glove box doesn't mean the glovebox will be closed and the item become out of sight.
I used to have a head unit mounted in the glove box of my old 180sx, because some rude SOB stole the stereo AND THE MOUNTING BACKETS when they broke into my car, so I modified the glovebox to take a headunit, and always left it open when driving and used the remote to change volume and stations (or CD's and tracks),

If you want to mount 3 gauges your best bet would be under the Head unit. I have a boost gauge only mounted in where the right hand air con vent was the one in line with the dash.

I'm considering putting 3 gauges in the woodgrain strip above the glovebox, but am not sure if there is enough space behind the strip to accommodate the depth of the gauges.
How much space is available behind the strip, and if there is something in the way, can part of it be cut out to allow the gauges to fit?
