Ive heard bad things about Mobil 1 and Castrol Edge on turbo engines. Was kind of suprised seeing as Castrol Edge sponsors a drag r32 GTR.

From my anecdotal experience, synthetic oil plus frequent oil changes for a TT. I first used Mobil 1 then switched to Nulon 10w40 because it was cheap when I had a stock 1j. Later, I changed to Castrol edge 10w60 after the 1.5j build, which my tuner recommended as a better choice for a street car making 300+ rwkw. Neither engine has missed a beat, despite my frequent abuse over 6 years.

Penrite SIN 10W-70 too much?? Don't know whether to jump on board to Castrol EDGE 10W-60 as it seems to be the only viscosity range of its kind... and what is the deal with the "extra ten!" stuff?

I've only heard negative things about Castrol in general, but have heard both good and bad comments here from reputable members...

Elf also has some good stuff. Me personally i would use Motul, Nulon, Elf and possible Royal Purple.
