My pipes are ribbed (with welds as the ribs) to stop them coming off. I used Permatex Aviation Goo #3 (from AutoOne etc) around the end of the pipes before sliding the hoses on and clamping up. This stuff is really tacky, but never dries, and seals up any possible air leaks. Essential stuff when fitting cooler piping.

will be getting my kit put on soon as well although itll be running a 7psi wastegate spring. Cant wait to see what sort of power you get out of your setup.
Just out of curiosity are you running it at 7psi for day to day driving as well? just wondering how well itll perform at 7psi vs the stock twins...

I reckon the day to day driveability will be really bad compared to the stock twins! People dont realise how responsive the stock twins are!
Sure the Bigger single will outflow and make a better peak power figure, but will be laggy for street use. Even with the correct convertor it wont match the stocks.
With that said, with the right convertor AND engine management, it will be much better to drive than JUST fitting the turbo with the standard stally.

yeh im not expecting a lot of power at 7psi but at least the potential is there once i sort out the other mods
the path im taking now is more for the long term benefits, afterall the TR44HF can pump out over 300rwkw on a supporting setup. as long as the car is drivable ill be happy enough for now, even if it is slower of the line than with the stock twins

Hey Grant,
Have you had it tuned yet? When you do can you list whats mods are done to the car and how much power your making, im sure lots of people are interested in this setup. Thanks

My tune may be a little delayed. I have organized an emanage ultimate and Sard 800cc injectors. It will be interesting to see what kind of power I will get. I am hoping for 280 - 300 rwkw.
I will be posting up my emanage blue and the 440cc injectors for sale in the next couple of weeks.

hmmmmm 300rwkw thats what Im talking about hope you get it man I should be getting my kit tommorow I hope then I can start on it how far do you think I would get with just 440cc injectors ?

Hey grant.. i think you will be pushing to get to 300 without some kind of head work. Dont worry though... mine was only 285kw apparently, BUT i did trap at 116mph with a problem in 3rd and a 2.26ft time.. i think this would be closer to 119-120mph with issues fixed and slicks. This mph is higher than some peoples with over 300rwkw on their soarers and mine was in full street trim.

Christian Dan from Redline (directly behind my workshop) now has a tuner there that does the systems we need done up here and he uses a dynapac dyno so now checking and tuning will not be a problem the guys you went to,to tune your car have folded so i was told last week. thay had dramas with noise and knowledge.

Hey grant. Mine is 21psi BUT i am using a 3bar map sensor.
if your getting the ultimate, you should go this option. it doesnt cost much more. You just need the emanage sensor, not the wiring harness. I have hard wired mine and it work fine.
i see positive boost early and it comes on bloody fast. full boost is between 3500-4000 rpm.
my turbo is also rated at 600 or 650hp i think.
lew: I think i have sorted out most of the issues i had. It went good at willowbank (except for in 3rd) not sure if this was the tune, but i think it was something else. (gearbox related)
i might come down and see those guys one day just to see if my afr's are still ok

"Update"
I have the EMU, ready to drop in, I am still waiting for the 800cc injectors from Nengun. I have just bought a house and we are moving in two weeks. So I don't think I will have the car dynoed until next year. It looks like a few other SC members have purchased the same kit. It will be interesting to see what kind of power figures these kits produce.
Cara if you are still interested in the strut brace you can email rob@ultrex.com.au and he can hook you up with one for $90. I can definitely feel the difference in handling. The front end is much tighter.
