Just put a 2jz-gte in the Soarer. Everything was awesome until this afternoon. For some reason my car struggles out of first gear. Until 2500rpm the car does not respond and when it hits 3000rpm the car just jerks forward and it goes. I have not been smashing it around or anything either, it just happened randomly today. When i slowly increase the speed its fine, except when i put my foot down, it just crawls until it hits 3000rpm then it jerks forward and goes.
Is anyone please able to help me out to why this is happening? thanks!

mate im not the brightest thing when it comes to cars, but is that the automatic transmission fluid? the stuff that goes into the power steering reservior? if so ive already checked it. I had to add more in the first couple of days cause of air but yeh it seems to be fine now.

Did you check the transmission fluid with the engine going, or off.
It needs to be checked when the engine is running, as it sucks a heap of the oil down when the engine starts, and holds it at a lower level. This is the level that needs to be checked, not the level when shut off and sitting.

Transmission shift solenoids clogged or faulty Slipping or worn clutches in the auto Dirty or insufficient transmission fluid Line pressure aka "kickdown cable" too tight (near throttle body)
Only check trans fluid after going for a decent drive, 10-20km or more, and check it with the engine running. The fluid/level expands as it heats.

sounds to me like a torque converter problem, or oil pump in tranny, if it slowly increase with speed, but as soon as you stomp on it goes no were till it gets enough oil, or maybe the suction screen in the oil pan, it just seems funny, after it happend with a new motor, maybe torque converter seal was damaged on installation,
is it the original box or a diff on.. just a few more ideas that is all
