Hey guys,
Just wondering if anyone that is located in melb can do an engine swap for me.

Also, how cheap do you guys rekon I could get away with if I supply the engine? I'm really trying to avoid having to spend like $1500 that one place quoted me. lol.

BIP toyota said they could sell me the long motor for $900, and fit it for $500. Reasonably cheap. But not sure if I can trust them..? Anyone bought parts from them? Any experience with them?

So yeh...if there is anyone in melb that is able to do the swap for me, please let me know. And let me know how much it would cost.

Thanks guys, I'm hoping that once again this club will get me out of the sh#t. lol.

BIP is good, but they are expensive...

If you go to BIP, come over for a coffee... i'm in the next street! LOL

You can try Barry on 0401 300 028.. He is very reasonable pricewise, and does great work!

Go to Sports and Luxury, someone there is quite good at swapping motors within an 8hr period!

He is also quite cute!... According to his mum :-)

I have all the equipment for changing over an engine at my house.

Is it a unbolt engine and remove old engine, then bolt up all extras, and then bolt back in?

That I can do.. I wont do timing, rewiring, fabrication etc etc.

Hey Shaun,

I only want to swap my long motor with another 1JZ long motor. So there won't be any mods or anything.

How much would you want to do the job? Also, how long would I have to leave the car with you?

Thanks mate, appreciate it

Hey Guys,

Thanks for the offers and advice. I've made an arrangement with BIP Toyota to do it.

I'm also getting the timing belt and rear engine seal replaced on the engine going in, just to make sure its all good.

Thanks guys,
Chris
