friend of mine busted his diff, and he is thinking to replace one, but after looking around the wreckers, none of them carry one. since manual soarer are hard to find.

supra is another option, but they arent cheap. any a/m options? how much?

As far as I'm aware, the auto and manual diffs are the same ratios. Look at the aftermarket diffs (cusco, kaaz, trd, etc) they all list the same ratios for atm or mtm. But if you are just buying a complete unit, then it will bolt in no worries. If you get a supra diff, just make sure that it is an auto, or a 5 speed as the 6 speed diff won't fit at all.

If you have any mechanical knowledge, changing diffs aren't a hard thing to do, just don't drop it on yourself when under the car!

Look on the engine plate under the bonnet, it will have something like A01 or something like that.

There was 2 different ratios released, and both open and LSD.

Not sure of the codes exactly (going from memory here), but A01 was Open wheel with x ratio, and B01 was LSD with x ratio.

Get a diff from a car with the same code as yours and your laughing.

B.
