Is this weight bad for a 1JZGTE auto, with no mods, and 17k kms? Or should I switch to something else?

it only has 17000 km's on it. Will it harm it in any way? Should I change it right away to something else?

5 - 10c below Zero = 10W will be fine

Use a 10W/30 or 10W/40

I get -10C here in Queanbeyan.

Your main concern will be Anti-Freeze.

Joshua, change the coolant immediately. You don't need a burst rad.

I use 5w30 amsoil in my soarer. Imo the perfect oil for our weather. Have you already changed the oil once since it got here? If not i would do a oil change right away as well. I personally change all the fluids in the car top to bottom just because i don't know how long they've been there, and better to be safe then sorry.

I changed everything but transmission fluid when I got the car. Put 5w50 in on some guys recommendation here at Mopac told me. But on an experts advice, I just today changed to Amsoil 10w30 and changed the transmission fluid had it flushed and all. Filled with Dexron III. Thanks for everyone's help, specially Neil's. Cheers
